Thank You!
Vogel Holding, Inc. combined efforts with local businesses to collect donations for victims in North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene. A supply run was completed on October 30th consisting of two enclosed trailers driven by Ray Andres & Austin Vogel and one tractor trailer load driven by Gary McCormick. The enclosed trailers were taken to Morganton, North Carolina where the supplies were distributed by Medi Home Hospice to the surrounding counties most in need.

Industries tractor trailer at Century
Farms in Butler, PA Items donated included new cold weather clothing (hats, gloves, coats, headbands), socks, propane heaters, non-perishable food items, a pallet of water (donated by Mercer Auto Wreckers), hand tools, toilet paper, hygiene products, generators, milk & formula, used clothing, blankets, first aid items, diapers, flashlights, etc.
We also partnered with Mars Agway and Grove City Agway & Pets to collect donations for farmers and animals affected. They graciously offered a 15% discount to anyone who came in or called to purchase donations. Thanks to them we were able to collect 20 pallets consisting of different feeds (horse, goat, chicken, cow), dog food, cat food, grass forage, sileage, fencing supplies, buckets and feed bins, as well as hand tools (rakes, shovels and brooms). In the trailer with these pallets, we also fit 315 square haybales donated by Century Farms in Butler, PA. These donations were taken to Animals R Us Veterinarian Clinic in Flat Rock, North Carolina. There were already individuals waiting with empty trailers for these supplies when Gary pulled in.
We would like to thank the following businesses & individuals for acting as drop off locations for donations:
- Stiller Motorsports (Steve & Amy Stiller) in Kittanning, PA
- Mandys cookie co (Mandy Matus) in Saxonburg, PA
- Diamond Landscaping, Inc. (Barb & Tom Tomaro) in Pittsburgh, PA
This would not have been possible without the support of the Vogel family. Eddie & Doug Vogel did not hesitate when asked by an employee if they would be willing to spare drivers and trucks to make a supply run. Our own employees were a huge contribution as many of them purchased donations off our Amazon Wishlist. We had a massive outpouring of support from members of the public as well and are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to help us help those in need.
