E-Waste Disposal and Recycling

The Covered Device Recycling Act (CDRA) requires that select electronic devices no longer be disposed of in Pennsylvania landfills. All of these devices are required to be properly recycled. Please see more regarding the CDRA requirements and your options below.

The following items are not permitted in the landfill and must go to special recycling facilities. Therefore, they are not able to be placed in your curbside trash or recycling containers.

  • Televisions
  • Computer monitors
  • Computer towers
  • Computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc)
  • Printers

Tip: Before discarding or recycling an electronic device, consider trying to fix it. Click for guides to fix various devices.



E-Waste Disposal Options


Curbside Pickup (Select Areas)

We offer scheduled pickup of E-Waste in select areas. Due to permit rules, this service is available only to current residential customers in the areas below:

Drop-off service is available at TC Recycling. You can find out more about TC Recycling's drop-off facilities here.


Additional Collections


There are various organizations that host collection events for E-Waste and Hard to Recycle items.
